We left Agamim Hotel in Eilat at 8:40 AM for our short bus ride to Jordan at which point we reluctantly said goodbye to Nadav and Yigal. We learned that Jordan is a very accommodating country to the Bedouins and refugees from the surrounding countries.
We journeyed to Petra, stopped for lunch at the Sun City Restaurant, and proceeded to hike thru the Necropolis down the seq to the Al-khana, also called the Treasury, where the movie Indiana Jones was filmed. We shared a faith lesson at the Treasury, where we were challenged “do we have our money or does our money have us?” We all tithe but the question is “who or what do we tithe to?” We continued hiking, in awe over the many tombs of royalty. We ended our hike with a mule and donkey ride out of the canyon.

We met for breakfast on the second day at the Dan Hotel in Jerusalem. Incredible food from the local culture!
After devotions en route to our first stop in the old city of Jerusalem, we viewed a short movie on the history of the City of David and Hezekiah’s tunnel.
Afterward, those of us up to the adventure of exploring the tunnel ventured underground. It was a fun challenge navigating tunnels of shin deep water, an often low head clearance and shoulder width walls only illuminated with each persons small flashlights. It transported us back in time when the workers constructed this lengthy tunnel. We left amazed at the amount of man power that it took to carve thru the dense stone.

We started out with devotions overlooking Jerusalem saying the Shema in Hebrew and English. We were challenged to live a Godly perspective as we looked at Hebrews 11, the faith chapter, how our heroes of the faith never saw the results of their faith. It was for future generations. We must also live our lives for future generations.
From there we went to the Shephelah. Heading toward Bet Shemesh we walked thru a field wondering where we were going. We were taught about Boaz and Ruth and the corners of their lives. Boaz left the corners for the poor, the widows, and the orphans. We were challenged by George to look at the corners of our lives.

Our hearts were so blessed today as we had a Big Day which started as we climbed toward mt Arbel
We started out with a wonderful stay at Ein Gev Kibbutz. Greeted and blessed by our friends there.
We were touched and challenged by George as he taught us that Jesus’ followers didn’t have to live the way they did. They chose to. We have a choice also—which God will we choose?
